MHCCA Youth Orchestra
The Mid-Hudson Chinese Community Youth Orchestra is dedicated to bridging Eastern and Western cultures with the performance of original music inspired by Chinese culture, and serving the community.
The Youth Orchestra was sponsored and funded by the Mid Hudson Chinese Community Association when it was first founded in 2003. Since then, it is sustained by membership fees, fundraising, and donations. Young musicians in middle and high school throughout Dutchess County are invited to join the group. They are given the role as ambassadors to promote Chinese culture as well as understanding and harmony within the community through the performance of music. We also provide a platform for our members to develop leadership & volunteerism, in addition to musicianship.
